Waaritech Lydia

The Lydia model Waaritech was the first encountered by humans at the beginning of the Occupation period. Slightly more intelligent than the Dolly model, these are the machines responsible for killing the President of the United States and most of his staff on Air Force One. Unlike Dolly, which is only capable of short leaps and jumps with its internal rockets, Lydia is capable of sustained flight and showed its dogfighting prowess in a brutal style by literally smashing through the numerous fighters, bombers and helicopters sent to counter the Waaritech attack.

The Lydia model Waaritech are constructed from the same nano-molecular materials as their Dolly cousins, which enables them to heal rapidly and in general shrug off most damage imparted on them. Nuclear weapons have little effect on these machines, even a building falling on one will only stop it for as long as it takes to dig itself out.
