Waaritech Heather

Tens of thousands of "Heather" model Waaritech were deployed into orbit when the Machaa arrived over Earth. These served as sentries, alerting other units to humans spotted out of range or sneaking away from ground units. Comprised of a multitude of geodesic panels, Heather could also fold into a sphere and enter the planet's atmosphere to engage targets on the ground. A clever and stealthy machine, these units were known to hide on top of buildings, inside overturned trucks, and even in trees, if they were strong enough to support it. Heather models could roll at relatively high speeds along open ground, or down paved roads, crushing any human unfortunate enough to be caught in the way. Due to their slightly more fragile nature, these units were not used in combat during the main invasion of Earth, but could choose to fight if they believed a situation was in their favor.
