Description

In the Murror Valley area, the early metal-age Venrocks found that when they would feast after a successful hunt, storm clouds would roll in from the mountainous forest to the north, drenching their encampments. The superstitious Venrocks believed that the Goddess of the Forest was weeping for the slain animals, and so they day following every feast was celebrated with a sacrifice in her honor. The rains were seen as a blessing and a curse, as they could easily cause floods in the valley, but would nourish the Venrocki crops and attract a bounty of prey animals to the local rivers swollen banks.

Later modern research found that the numerous celebratory bonfires were actually what triggered the rain, as the upwelling of heated air destabilized the cooler air flowing down from the mountains, causing moisture to condense into rain clouds.

This drawing will be finished soonish, I just liked it so much I felt like sharing early.
Sharing is caring, and junk.
