Maeraan the Musician

Maeraan served as an Imperial Executor during the Second Psychic War. She was not on Earth during the final battle, but nearly 300 LY away at the Gosogean Repeater station. Due to the ever-expanding nature of the Imperial Colonies, massive repeater stations were built under the guise of being able to bolster and amplify tachyon transmissions and signals. They were in fact used to amplify the Emperor's own subversive psychic messages, meant to keep the populous in check. Maeraan was not a combat psychic, but was instead a powerful empath, and was being used as a human tuning circuit for the massive transceiver. Let's just say that she took the news of the Emperor's death rather poorly.

Being quite literally mentally connected to the Emperor before his demise at the hands of the psychic 21, Maeraan felt his death as if it were her own. As the Cave-Grove and Felorian armadas spread out claiming former Imperial territories following the end of hostilities, she fled to one of the lesser inhabited colony worlds and laid low, nursing her mental wounds. She gradually integrated herself into civilian life, and quickly picked up music to pass the time. Learning to play a custom-built guitar made for her by a new friend, Maeraan quickly gained popularity as a musician as she traveled among the surrounding colonies. When she finally was confronted by the Cave-Grove psychic police, it turned out that they were not looking to arrest her, but merely interview her about her role in the Psychic Repeater project.

Following this encounter, Maeraan went on to be a very successful musician, using her empathetic abilities to add an edge to her live performances that traditional musicians lacked. She tended to float about the performance halls as she played her guitar and sang, her melodies putting audiences through a range emotions from euphoria to nearly orgasmic.

So yeah, for those of your familiar with the show, Maeraan is based on Marceline from Adventure Time. Because she's kinda awesome.
