Jampod Landed WiP

Jampods are like the hatchbacks of today. They come in many makes and models and some are better than others. The Mark V is capable of sustained in-system flight, and can takeoff and land on a planetary body using an array of six electro-rockets mounted in its heat shield. The pod can carry two passengers and up to three tons of cargo, if you can fit that much in its small bay, and are equipped with inflation-bags for water landing. Hammocks can be slung in its cabin, and a small latrine provides for basic hygiene needs. Most jampods are unarmed, lightly armored and shielded, and in general are used by civilians to get around the solar system they inhabit.

The final model of this ship will be used in an upcoming series of illustrations, showing it being used by a pair of explorers.
