Groache's Flying Wing WIP

This is Matthew Groache's flying wing, which I whipped up for a shortish science-fiction story I’m writing. It’s a post-apocalyptic story set in an alternate history where the world has been more or less fubar’d by a nuclear exchange during the Cold War. The US used these huge nuclear-powered and equipped flying wings to maintain a constant nightwatch around the Soviet Union. This one survived the war due to it being a prototype which was on the ground when the missiles started flying. Years later, it was discovered by Matthew Groache and his friend Andrew, who realized that its reactor was still functional, and got the craft flying again. They and their band of friends use the vehicle to travel the slightly radioactive wastes, smacking bad guys in the face with cars and oil drums dropped from its bomb-bay, and in general getting into too much trouble for them to handle.

But they always manage to handle it.
